Cambodia Travels

It is now Thursday night in Cambodia. The team has been traveling and seeing so many things. Today I will just recap the travel to help you catch up!

We started at Detroit metro airport at 9 am on Tuesday. Our flight left at 12:30 pm and we flew for 13 ish hours to Seoul, Korea. Through customs again and back on a plane for the brief 6 more hour flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Our dear friend Esther greeted us at the airport with our bus. Off to the hotel to regroup and try to sleep in a horizontal position!! After all, it was now 10:30 pm in Cambodia on Wednesday.

Thursday started with a trip to the corner for bottles of water and then a visit to S-21 or Tuol Sleng genocide museum. This was once a school that was used by the Khmer Rouge as a place of mass torture. A very overwhelming and heavy place to see. No words. We had some conversation to help process but I think that may take more time.

We checked out of our hotel, had lunch, and got back on the bus for a 6 ish hour bus ride to Siem Reap. The best part of this trip is that we have Nicole and Michelle ( (Esther’s daughters) with us!!! We saw rice fields, countryside, and even cows on the way. Upon our arrival we had dinner and finally checked into our hotel. So off to bed so we are ready for what tomorrow brings.

Still working the kinks out of WiFi use and sharing of pictures. Hopefully we will have much more tomorrow…after we sleep!

Please keep our team in your prayers as we are seeing God everywhere! Sometimes when we are looking and sometimes when we are not even aware!
