Children and Families

We love having children in our services, with all of the noise and energy they bring. Children are welcome to participate in our Sunday morning worship services at both 9:30 and 11:00. During the first service we have a prayground area in the front of the sanctuary where children are welcome to complete activities related to the scripture, as well as engage with  items, like foam blocks. There are books and quiet items in the back of the sanctuary along with the baby lounge where parents can sit with their babies and still be able to see and hear the service.  We also offer nursery care during the first service for children 4 and under.

Our 11:00 worship service is designed to engage the whole family, people of all ages and abilities, in experiencing the scripture together. This service is more laid back and participatory. We meet outside during the summer time, and sit around tables inside during the rest of the year.

Every month we host a Family Night in Common Ground for families with children and youth. This event is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, from 5:00-6:30 p.m.. Each session includes dinner, a group game or activity, and a time of spiritual formation. These sessions are intended to foster relationships between family groups, and to help equip parents and guardians to incorporate spiritual formation into their own family life. Reservations are appreciated, but not required, to help plan for the dinners. You can e-mail Ashley Wynn at [email protected] to let her know your family is planning to attend, as well as to let her know of any special dietary needs for your family.
There are other special events throughout the year for your family to get involved inside and outside of the church.
