We know it is below zero back home, but boy is it hot here (even though they claim it is winter). We have had a chance to see Angkor Wat, the ruins of 3 temples (Buddhist and Hindu), the countryside and some village churches.
Today we had our first day of “work”…. worshiping and enjoying the kids for VBS. We were at two different church plants in villages 60 miles from Siem Reap. Each Saturday the youth from the original church travel to the villages to worship and teach English. Today we went with them and put on a VBS too. What a joy to watch the smiles and see our “kids” teach and share their faith. Pastor Teresa was able to share the Gospel at each of the villages.
Dinner tonight was at the Blue Pumpkin. We went upstairs to the cool lounge. What a treat! A round room with the best acoustics. You could hear everyone speak no matter how softly they spoke. We had time to share and reconnect. Added bonus was the very cold air conditioning. Did I mention it is hot here??
